After stumbling following the Federal Reserve's initial suggestion of tapering its liquidity program, the Indian economy seems to have regained its footing. The rupee has appreciated smartly, and the stock exchange has hit successive records. On the other hand, slow growth and perceptions of a surge in corruption scandals could bring a new party to power in the April elections. Can Narendra Modi win a majority in Parliament and introduce a welcome sea change in the investment environment? Could the new head of the central bank continue his success in controlling inflation?
